Achievements & Accolades

Solid Green continues to inspire and excel in the green building industry with an ever growing tally of Green Star certified projects, numerous Green Star SA awards, committee seats and innovative initiatives among a host of other achievements.


Certifications

As of December 2018, Solid Green has achieved 64 Green Building Certifications – 62 Green Star Certifications and 2 LEED Certifications – including 31 Green Star Office certifications, 15 Green Star Interior certifications, and 6 Green Star EBP projects. Our portfolio includes three 6-star Green Star Projects and eleven 5-star Green Star projects.

Green Star Awards

Since 2011, the GBCSA has awarded the Green Building Council Leadership Awards, which aim to recognise and commend market leaders on the transformation of the South African property market. For two years in a row, Solid Green scooped the award for Established Green Star, for Marloes Reinink in 2012/2013 and for Chilufya Lombe in 2013/2014.

Committee Seats

Chilufya Lombe is involved with the newly established ASHRAE South Africa.

Warren Gray serves on the SANS 10400 Part XA committee to ensure that the energy-efficiency standards and processes related to this are well implemented and relevant to the industry.

Innovation

Solid Green has established Solid Insight. Solid Insight is a cutting-edge web application that promotes the awareness of energy use in buildings by combining the key areas of awareness, education and accessibility. See more of our innovative initiatives here.

Solid Green has also been involved with GreenED, an industry leading online learning platform for professionals wanting to learn more about the sustainable built environment.
