Monte Circle is an exciting new commercial office park development situated in Fourways, Johannesburg. The project forms part of the larger Monte Casino precinct, and will extend along Montecasino Boulevard from William Nicol to Witkoppen Road.

Building A is the first of 10 office buildings which will create a high street urban edge along a central internal road.

The architecture is a contemporary interpretation of the more traditional architecture of Monte Casino, where the Architects have reinterpreted the details and applied them in a contemporary manner to the new building. The first building currently under construction will be ready for occupation on the 24th August 2015. The first tenants will be moving in on the 1st November 2015.

Sustainable building features

• External shading is provided to the Eastern, Western and Northern facades, using adjustable sliding louvres to window openings as well as fixed aerofoil sections to large curtain wall glazing sections. This leads to improved thermal comfort while still allowing for good levels of daylight and external views.
• Basements are naturally ventilated. Shower facilities and change rooms are provided for building users to accommodate running and cycling.
• Energy and water sub metering have been employed. This will enable the building to be effectively managed and the outcomes of the implemented sustainable initiatives realised.
