The Rockefeller Foundation
At The Rockefeller Foundation, we’re committed to fighting climate change through strategic partnerships and impactful grants. Together with our grantees, we aim to reduce climate vulnerability, particularly for marginalized communities worldwide.
7Our vision encompasses healing the soil, transforming waste, and promoting renewable energy and equitable food systems—all underpinned by the principle of equity. From pioneering research on regenerative farming to advocating for equity in energy and agriculture, our grantees are driving transformative change.
As an organization, we’re dedicated to reducing our own carbon footprint. Our Africa Regional Office in Nairobi exemplifies this commitment. Designed as a high-performance space within the Sanlam Towers, it prioritizes sustainability and efficiency. Achieving a 4 Star Green Star Africa Interiors v1 certification, it sets a new standard for environmental best practices in Kenya and East Africa.
More than just a workspace, our office is a tangible expression of our values and commitments. It serves as a beacon of sustainability and innovation, showcasing the feasibility and benefits of green building practices.
Through collaboration, innovation, and unwavering dedication to our values, we’re forging a path towards a more resilient and equitable future. Together, we can create lasting change and build a world where sustainability is not just a goal but a reality for all.
